SaveAct applies an internationally recognised Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) stakeholder-driven planning framework. Its assists vulnerable households to see new local economic possibilities, often involving the natural assets of their environemnt. It also catalyses long-term cooperation between stakeholders and businesses. This introduces a ‘can do’ perspective and lays the ground for economic action. From this step community members are invited into discussions about managing their money and their livelihoods, and ways in which they can strengthen these endeavours.
